Mission Statement
Nimbus Dance is committed to presenting site-specific performances dealing with current subject matter. Our shows are often cabaret-style, with the dancers directly addressing the audience – and even serving them food. We use text and spoken word overlays as well as video and film projections as backdrops. Works are created through a collaborative choreography and scripting process.

2. a nimbo-stratus (a low, gray cloud layer that covers the sky and brings rain or snow).
History
Nimbus Dance was formed in January 2006 by Beth Elkins and Brad Wales. Nimbus’ first show was Story of a Girl, performed in April 2006 at Gallery 164 in Buffalo’s historic Allentown District. In August of 2006, Nimbus collaborated with the band Temporary Dream and filmmaker Brian Milbrand to produce Temporary Dream, a show for Buffalo’s second annual Infringement Festival.
